Tasha M. Mosley was appointed the District Attorney for Clayton County on October 26, 2019 and elected in May of 2020. District Attorney Mosley’s mission is to reflect fair and accurate prosecution, caring assistance to victims, and action-based community outreach. Prior to her appointment, District Attorney Mosley served as the Clayton County Solicitor General for 11 years.


District Attorney Mosley was born in Massachusetts and raised in Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a dual degree in Political Science and Economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and her Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association. She has served as President of The Georgia Association of Solicitors-General and Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia. She is currently the immediate past president of the GA District Attorney Association and chair of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia.

She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her passion for community service. She demonstrates this passion as a Vice Chair of the Calvary Refuge Center Board of Directors, Board Member of the GEO Community Service Board, and former attorney coach for the award-winning Jonesboro High School Mock Trial Team. District Attorney Mosley has also served in various leadership positions in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – Psi Alpha Omega Chapter.
